MOVEMENT VALUES: The Rocky Mountain region is made up of a variety of cultures, each with its own unique characteristics. There is, however, a Christ-centered, Bible-based "spiritual" culture shared by God's people which we express through these common values:
We value ...
- Transformation - believing that the power of God's Spirit will bring Christ-like change to our lives, our churches and our communities. " And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transormed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Cor. 3:18 (NIV)
- Health - Prioritizing "being" over "doing" in the lives of our pastors and congregations. " I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10 (NIV)
- Visionary Leadership - to see what is, but also to see what can be. " Jesus looked at him and said, 'You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas' (which, when translated, is Peter-The Rock)." John 1:42
- Cultural Diversity- to better engage the wide variety of people groups in our region. "Then I saw another angel flying in the midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth -- to every nation, tribe, language and people." Rev 14:6 (NIV)
- Being Missional - seeing all that we do as related to the missionary work of God. " Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." Matthew 28:19 (NIV)
- Generosity, freely sharing God's goodness with others. " You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. " 2 Corinthians 9:11 (NIV)
- Excellence which honors God and inspires people. " Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men... " Col. 3:23 (NIV)
